Nervous System - Muscular System!
The nervous system interacts with the skeletal system because the nervous system is the reason why our muscles contract. The brain sends nerve messages to the muscle cells which makes them contract. Also when our muscles have been working too hard the brain starts to stop sending that message. If we didn't have this feature we could risk tearing our muscle tissue, and our ligaments/tendons :( The cerebellum controls and coordinates all muscle movement and if we didn't have the cerebellum, we would not be able to control what we did. We would just flop around, moving only when the environment made us. One last way the muscular system and the nervous system interact is when we need a quick respone called a reflex. This is when the receptor cells in the effected area (say if you touch something hot with your finger) send a pain message to the spinal cord which then bounces it back to another nerve which brings the message to the skeletal muscle that needs to contract. This helps if we need to something fast like dodging a bullet or ducking under a Frisbee.
