Urinary

The urinary system contains a lot of smooth muscle, some kidney parenchyma, and skeletal muscles. The kidney is the filter system of the body. It filters urea and excess water from the blood. The nephrons (organelles in the kidney) regulate salt and water levels, and generally remove waste. The urea is combined with water to create urine. The urine is then channeled to the ureters, tubes of smooth muscle which move the urea into the bladder. The bladder is a hollow, balloon-like organ of skeletal muscle. When you decide to release your urine, the bladder’s skeletal muscles contract, and the sphincter at the bottom opens, and urine goes out through the urethra, and exits the body as per normal urination.
