Digestive system and the Circulatory system interact in many ways. First, the stomach digests protein to amino acid which is absorbed to the capillaries and into the circulatory system. Then in the Sm. Intestines every other food are digested and the nutrients are absorbed to go into the capillaries surrounding the small intestines to go into the circulatory system. The small intestines are covered in villi which gives more surface area for the smooth intestines. The more surface area makes it possible for the small intestines to absorb the nutrients from the digested food better then a flat surface. More surface area means more touching which means more absorption. If it weren't for the villi the nutrients would be going through getting wasted. Then all the absorbed nutrients diffuse into the capillaries surrounding the sm. Intestines which makes it possible for the nutrients to get into the blood stream. The capillaries link off to bigger then bigger blood vessels which makes it possible for the nutrients to travel around the body. The blood in the circulatory system help the nutrients to travel around the body for the cells to use for many different uses. So the digestive system makes all the nutrients and the circulatory system makes it possible for the nutrients to travel around the body using blood and blood veins and vessels.
