Most of the digestive parts are made of smooth muscle as they work without command.
The Muscular System and the Digestive System interact in many ways. The parts of the Digestive system are made of muscle. SMOOTH muscle to be specific. The stomach, Sm. Intestines, Lg. Intestines, and esophagus are smooth muscle. The stomach is smooth muscle because it churns the food inside without command and it does it automaticly. The Sm. Intestines is smooth muscle because it pushes food through it's tube to the large intestines without command. The large intestines is smooth muscle because it pushes food down when needed without command and gets rid of waste. The esophagus is smooth muscle because it pushes food down without command so that food doesn't get stuck and so that it just doesn't plop down onto the stomach. It holds the food and pushes down slowly so that the body doesn't risk injuries.
