Cells can be either plant or animal cells and are considered the basis of life. Plant cells go through photosynthesis to produce the oxygen and glucose that animal cells need to go through cell respiration. Its good to keep in mind that there are multiple types of animal cells, there are skeletal, muscular, nervous, receptor, skin, white blood,and red blood cells, and those are only some! Like the song says, there are many cell structures that each have important functions. For example, chloroplasts are where in plant cells photosynthesis occurs. Mitochondria is where cell respiration occurs in animal cells, and the nucleus of every cell is the control center.
