Nervous System vs Nervous System
One structure of the nervous system is that there are several receptor organs on the body and the receptor organs allow us to have our 5 senses: touch, smell, taste, hearing and sight. Sight is controlled they eyes, hearing is controlled by the ears, smell by the nose, touch by the skin and the receptor cells in the skin, and finally taste controlled by the mouth and the taste buds on the tongue. These structures allow us to complete 1 of the 2 functions of the Nervous system which is to control how the body responds to the environment. For example if you hear something really loud that your ears send a nerve message to the brain which makes it possible to be able to cover your ears and to black the loud noise.

The 2nd structure of the Nervous system is that the nerves are thin and long and reach everywhere in the body. Also the spinal cord is long and reaches all up and down the back. This allows the Nervous system to be able to complete its last function which is to coordinate what goes on inside the body. With the nerves and the spinal cord reaching all over the body the nerve message can get to and from the brain so everything that goes on inside your body is working well and organized.
