Skeletal--->Ecosystem
The skeletal system and the ecosystem have many interactions with each other. First would be with the sun. The sun's rays helps give us the ability to make vitamin D for ourselves. When we eat a plant or animal that has been in the sun enough to get the nutrients to make vitamin D or if we ourselves are out in the sun, we would take in the nutrients via our mouth (eating) or our skin (being in the sun). Vitamin D is VERY helpful in strengthening our bones, because it is the vitamin that helps your body absorb the amount of calcium needed for strong bones. Another interaction would be that the plants and animals themselves in the ecosystem have nutrients that make bones stronger. For example, we absorb minerals from the plants we eat. Minerals come from the earth- and plants reside in the dirt. They get these minerals from the dirt, and we get them once we eat that plant. Another example is calcium. Your body can't produce calcium, so it must absorb it. A good source of calcium is milk, which comes from cows. miraaa.jpg
