Skin-Digestion

The skin needs nutrients that is broken down by the digestive system. the digestive system breaks down starch into sugar, proteins into amino acids, absorbs nutrients, and absorbs water. the skin and its parts need the sugar, water, and nutrients to stay healthy and do its job of protection.

The digestive system makes sure that the excess wastes does not get around the body and only nutrients, water, and sugar get around to the organs in the body. The digestive system has 4 main parts; the mouth-breaks down starch (the lips are made of skin), the stomach-breaks down protein, the small intestine-absorbs nutrients, and the large intestine-absorbs water (h2o).

The skin has an important job of protecting the digestive system from pathogens that want to destroy the digestive system.

Without the digestive system to break down and absorb nutrients, the body would not grow/work.

The skin system acts as a first line of defense and prevents viruses (or at least tries to) from going into your stomach which may cause you to throw up. For more about the digestive system go to digestive system

The nutrients in food go to your skin cells, to give them nutrients.
