Skin-Muscular

One of the parts of the skin is smooth muscle. The smooth muscle is connected to the hair follicle that lets the hair stand on end (goosebumps). The skin connected by connective tissue to the muscle so it can move with it and the bone.

The muscular system is another form of protection. But its main job is to pull on bones to make your body move. The muscular system covers the entire body (just like the skin). The muscular system gets a message from the brain to pull on bones, such as if you touch something hot, so you don't burn yourself.

Lets say you accidentally touch a hot pan. You have nerves in your skin that tell your bicep to contract. That is an example of a skin->muscle->nervous system interaction. For more information about the muscular system go to Muscular system.

You can see the muscle is just below the fatty layer.
