How does the Circulatory System and the Skeletal System Interact?

The skeletal system protects the circulatory system with hard, strong, bones. Bones give a rigid frame that keeps the body from collapsing under its own weight. The skeletal system also provides the body with blood. The blood is produced in the bone marrow and is then sent along blood vessels to be circulated through the body. Bones provide all the white blood cells we have for the immune response.
