Nervous System - Skeletal System!
The nervous system interacts with the skeletal system because the skeletal system plays a vital role in protecting the major organs in the nervous system. These organs include the brain and the spinal cord which are protected by the cranium and the spine/vertebrae. It is important that we have a cranium because the slightest bump to an unprotected brain could result in damage to the brain tissue (aka brain damage) One type of "brain damage" is a concussion. This is when your brain bounces against the walls of the cranium. This could result in fainting, memory loss, or even death! It is also important that we have a spine because the spinal cord is the main "highway" for nerve messages and if it is damaged you could become paralyzed (from where ever the damage is down).
